Has anyone experienced timing changes when adjusting yor cam gears? Lund and myself are kinda puzzled because I experience this everytime I change mine and he hasn't noticed it when he changes his. Having the blower really confines the amount of timing change that can be tolerated so I have to be careful when changing the gear settings. This is why they are at 0,0 til I can get to a dyno. Everyone with gears chime in, thanks.

you know, its funny that you mentioned that, because I have been experiencing the same thing.. My friend and I were kinda puzzled as to why my timing kept going to 16 after he would set it at 8 and then adjust the cam gears... btw, I have a '97 GSR.

Well it really sucks because the timing is the major limiter as to the amount of adjustment we can make. Well I noticed it at first because I had the gears set at +4 on the intake and 0 on the exhaust side and I had the distributor turned as far as it would go and I could only take the timing down to 15 degrees or so. At first I thought I was loosing my mind cause before the blower (actually the gears) I knew that I had been able to change it from way up at 19-20 and back down to 5-6. Thanks for the reply and keep them coming guys
